Struggling

Been a while, but I'm still about the same rank. I'm a 31 and all the higher I have been is a 33, which was very short lived. Over the last 224 games I have played in MLG game type since 8/11/2008 I am 99-125, which is far from stellar. However, I do feel as though I am playing very well. However, I think whenever you are playing this level of Halo it's very important to be playing with some teammates that communicate and are able to play well together. I never have that. At the very best it's me and Colby and although we play great together, a lot of times our teammates don't play that well. Anyhow today I went 2-3, but every game I was positive, 4 were objective games where I went 2-2 and the final game was TS on Guardian where I was +5, but all my teammates went negative. So hopefully I can start to team up with some people online and start consistently winning some games...

Somehow...

I'm a 30 in MLG despite going 32-38 in my last 70 games. Colby and I played last night and played great, however we only went 3-3 because we got disconnected during a game we were dominating and should have gone 4-2. Ahhh well. That's all for now...

Games are getting very tough...

Up to a 28 and a 16 on MLG and SWAT respectively, but games are getting very tough as I've only gone 17-17 in my last 34 games. I feel like my objective games are going well as I went 8-5 in those over that time frame. My shot feels a little bit off, I'm sure that has to do something with it being that I'm shooting at tougher, trickier, and good opponent. So hopefully I can get something going to get closer to that fleeting 50!

Long Time, No Post

Surprisingly got quite a few games in over the last month. I played 95 matches between MLG and Team Swat and managed to go 50-45 in those games, which I guess isn't stellar. However, the competition (particularly in the MLG) is getting extremely tough. I managed to improve my MLG rank from a 16 to 27 since the last post and my Team Swat rank is now a 14. So not too bad, but need to keep moving on up in MLG! 50 here I come!

A Few MLG Games

To break the monotony that is studying for the last final of my career I managed to get some MLG games in...

MLG MLG Team Slayer on Narrows: Went 18/13/8 (kills/deaths/assists), but we ended up losing by one.

MLG Team King on Construct: This normally is one of my best game types, and I guess that shows since I still managed to go 19/20/10 despite one teammate quitting. Short handed objective games are extremely tough, so it was pretty surprising that we managed to do relatively well.

MLG Team Slayer on Narrows: Really, really sick game where I played pretty conservative as I kept getting the sniper and rather than spawn trapping people from top center I was just doing it man cannon side and at the very least taking off shields for my teammates. I ended up going 14/4/9 on the game.

MLG Team King on Pit: Had a pretty nice balance between slaying and hill time, mainly slayed whenever I got the sniper and did some decent work going 12/9/10. I had the second most hill time w/ 92 seconds in the hill.

Team MLG Slayer on Narrows: Was lagging this game so only went 9/9/9 and called it quites for the first session.

Went 3-2, but somehow decreased my ranking from a 17 to a 16. Kind of strange... probably will take another break from studying later because I have ADD. So till then...

I'm Back!

After having my XBOXs gone for nearly three weeks, I finally got them back and was on point last night. I first of all increased my sensitivity from 1 to 2 in order to be a little quicker with my BR. I struggled the first couple games, but started to pick it up. For the night Colby and I played 10 games and went 7-3 which is pretty solid and for the most part we led the team in kills and more importantly K/D spread even while leading the way in the objective some games as well. I increased my MLG ranking from a 12 to a 17, so I its only a matter of time before I'm a 50! Here's a couple of the better games from yesterday:

MLG Team King on Construct: K/D Spread of +23 w/ the second most hill time. I had a sick Frenzy on there as well that I'm going to have to upload w/ a couple of double kills (one a near triple), several no scopes, and one rocket where I got the guy midair.

MLG Team Slayer on Narrows: The few games we lost looked something like this where Colby (playing under WiseWonder) and I were both pretty positive in K/D spread and still managed to lose because our teams were a combined -18. Nothing you can do there.

Quick Rankings Update w/ MLG Ranking

Have the MLG ranking up to a 12 in only about 3 sessions of playing, it seems a little tougher to move up and when you do it seems if you lose a game you are down a ranking. Not sure about that just speculating...

MLG Game Type!

Hardcore is now MLG! Which is very fun, no radars, good teammates, easy to find games! What more could we ask for!? Colby and I ran up our ranks quickly to 7 going something like 8-1 on the night. Then Joe and I played a few games and although we went 2-2, we played well, had a close first game, then won a very close and very fun CTF game on Onslaught 5-4. Our third game our opponents were handicapped 4-2 and obv. they got raped, but the same thing happened to Joe and I the last game. Hopefully I can run this rank up to that elusive 50!

First of all I can't wait for MLG game type to come out and I believe it should be according to mlgpro.com any day now. So that should be sweet. I love Hardcore just wish more people would play and I think that the changing of the game type form Hardcore to MLG will make that happen. Anyhow here's how my rankings are coming:
